Can't delete repo of a broken knot #211

it would be ideal if we could still show the repo page (not the 503 page) in this case. repo contents can remain inaccessible, but things like issues/pulls/settings should still be available because we have those indexed on our end.

I have the same issue, 2 dead repos from where I was trying to get my knot setup.

It made me think that if the repo still shows on Tangled under my profile then it must be indexed on Tangled which is where it needs to be deleted from.

So displaying the repo page but not the contents would work because the user can then delete the repo from settings on the repo which would delete everything in the Tangled index and not need to do anything in the Knot.

Also let’s say the repo isn’t broken on a knot, the knot is just unavailable, this would allow users to create issues until the knot is available again.

agree with this, we should make the 503 page more friendly! I'll clean up the dead repos by hand for now.
