To even begin the process, a Chinese account is required, which must be verified with a Chinese ID. In addition, the account must reach Community Level 5,  pass a notoriously difficult exam and also obey all Xiaomi bootloader unlock rules like device change/ip change/account change. Even after passing the exam, the request still undergoes a review process. Based on recent reports, no applicants have successfully passed the exam or review this year. For Chinese Devices the Miui bootloader unlock server has been shut down meaning you have to go the community unlock route. But for Hyper OS 1 device you might be able to unlock with Bootloader Bypass but your device and account might be banned by Xiaomi. - [This source][bootloader-unlock-block-mainland-china] claims that the final day one could use the provided form to request an unlock was September 9, 2024. It also has an update, it seems that Xiaomi is suggesting inside the Community App that they will bring back the service in 2025, but it wouldn't be the first time a company lied about this.
